“PINK DIAMOND CERTIFIED BY ARGYLE”, INDICATES POLISHED DIAMONDS MEETING THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- The diamond originates from the Argyle mine.
- The diamond is natural and untreated.
- The diamond was colour and clarity graded by the Argyle mine
- The diamond has been laser inscribed by the Argyle mine (0.08ct plus).
- The diamond has an official certificate with lot number issued by the Argyle mine (0.08ct plus).
- The diamond is registered and can be validated through the Argyle website (0.08ct plus)
- The diamonds rarity can be accurately graded.
- The diamond is eligible to be sold through the Australian Pink Diamond Trade Centre.
“Argyle origin”, Indicates polished diamonds meeting the following criteria:
- The diamond originates from the Argyle mine
- The diamond was NOT cut and polished by the Argyle mine
- The diamond was NOT colour or clarity graded by the Argyle mine
- The diamond was NOT certified by the Argyle mine
- The diamond was NOT laser inscribed by the Argyle mine
- The diamonds rarity CANNOT be accurately graded.
- The diamond is NOT registered and cannot be validated through the Argyle website.
“COLLECTOR’S EDITION,” INDICATES POLISHED DIAMONDS MEETING THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Although a small number of Collector’s Edition diamonds are certified by the Argyle.
- The diamond originates from the Argyle mine
- The diamond has been internationally certified by IGI
- Most diamonds were NOT cut and polished by the Argyle mine
- Most diamonds were NOT colour or clarity graded by the Argyle mine
- Most diamond were NOT certified by the Argyle mine
- Most diamonds were NOT laser inscribed by the Argyle mine
- Most diamond cannot be validated through the Argyle website.
“Not Argyle”, Indicates polished diamonds meeting the following criteria:
- The diamond is NOT from Australia.
- The diamond originates from another geographical location.
- The diamonds rarity CANNOT be accurately graded.
- The diamond is NOT eligible to be sold through the Australian Pink Diamond Trade Centre.
”ARGYLE COLOUR DEFINITIONS”, Indicates polished diamonds meeting the following criteria:
- Purplish Pink (PP) – This colour grade has a secondary overtone of magenta.
- Pink (P) – This colour grade has a slight Reddish secondary overtone.
- Pink Rose’ (PR) – This colour grade has a secondary overtone of burgundy.
- Pink Champagne (PC) – This colour grade has secondary earthy overtones such as brown and orange.
- Blue – This colour grade has secondary overtones of Grey and Violet.
- Red – This colour grade generally has no secondary overtones.
- Purplish Red – This colour grade has a secondary overtone of magenta.
”INTERNATIONAL COLOUR DEFINITIONS”, Indicates polished diamonds meeting the following criteria:
- FVP (Fancy Vivid Pink)
- FVPP (Fancy Vivid Purplish Pink)
- FDP (Fancy Deep Pink)
- FDPP (Fancy Deep Purplish Pink)
- FIP (Fancy Intense Pink)
- FIPP (Fancy Intense Purplish Pink)
- FP (Fancy Pink)
